Kari Anne Bowden

A lifetime resident of Lowndes County, Kari Anne grew up in Hahira and attended Lowndes County schools.  After graduating from Lowndes High School, she pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics at Valdosta State University.  Kari Anne then went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in December of 2011.  During law school, Kari Anne was a member of the nationally ranked Moot Court Honor Board and the legal honor society, Phi Delta Phi.

 

Kari Anne was sworn into the practice of law in June of 2012 and worked with Bennett Law Firm, LLP for more than ten years.  In January of 2023 Kari Anne joined the firm as a partner.  Kari Anne has a general practice, with a focus on personal injury litigation, wills and estates, and family law, which includes divorce, child custody, legitimation, adoption, third party custody, and child support matters.  Kari Anne also handles many post-trial issues, including motions for new trial, motions to reconsider, and appeals.  She has written numerous appellate briefs and made oral arguments before both the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court.  She is admitted to practice law in the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and all trial courts in the State of Georgia.

 

Kari Anne is a member of the Valdosta Bar Association and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL).  She has served in numerous leadership roles in the Valdosta GAWL chapter, including President from 2020 to 2021.  Kari Anne plays in the orchestra at Morningside Baptist Church, where she and her husband, Chaz, are members.
